The Abyss and the Cult: An Adventure Series

It’s a cult. It’s seeking the end of the world. It is not large, but it is dangerous. But what is more dangerous?

The Abyss and the Cult provides a series of “dungeon crawl” adventures in which the characters chase down the Cult of the Black Cloud through its various sanctums and complexes, trying to halt the Cult’s plan to dominate the world and extinguish all fear by extinguishing all hope. The story is presented for two systems from Sword’s Edge Publishing: Sword’s Edge and Head Crushers. Each mechanical representation is provided for both systems.

These adventures were designed as dungeon crawls with the intent to provide both adversaries to fight but also a coherent story and purpose for those adversaries. Each adventure in this campaign can be used as part of the presented linked story, but each could also be dropped into an existing campaign with suitable story alterations, or even just presented as a one-off.
